UFC 168 - Quick Review

By: Chris "Sledge" Douglas

Wow.

Just so very very wow.

...

Wow.

This is one of the best pay-per-views I've seen in a long time.

Every match solid. And if it wavered even a little in quality, the finishes more than made up.

This PPV stands up even against some of my favorite wrestling PPVs.

And here is why.

Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey was one of the best executed fights I've ever seen, be it sports or sports entertainment. The precision and power of Rousey. The dogged "keep at it" roughness of Tate. This was also one of the most emotionally charged matches as well. Tate singing along with her song as she makes her entrance. Tate Boucing excitedly in the ring. Rousey's dead cold stare as she clonked her way to the ring, far outpacing her posse. The pure hate in Rousey's face versus the pure determination of Tate's. No, Tate may not have won the fight officially or even physically, but she sure won emotionally.

And psychologically.

And the other main event? Woah boy.
